How to get one of our books
The Basics
Our books are held in electronic format, and individual books are
printed
when they are ordered, using the latest Print-on-Demand technology from
www.lulu.com. You should order them by visiting www.lulu.com/theoldinn,
clicking on the details of the book you want, and "Add it to your
[shopping] Cart". The
lulu.com website will ask you to register with them and fill in details
of shipping address, shipping method
and your credit card information. (All purchase details are kept by
lulu.com, and not shared with us the publishers.)
The website can only calculate shipping costs once it has these
details. BUT
once you have seen the calculated cost you can go back and alter the
quantities, or shipping methods, and see how the shipping cost varies.
You are not committed to any purchase until you finally click on the "PLACE ORDER"
button at the very end of the Checkout process. You will get an email
receipt with a tracking link to check on
the
shipment of your order.
Free download versions
Many of them are also available for free download, through links on the
same page. Our main market is for books that are indeed available
freely in electronic form, but where some people also want a hard copy
to put on their shelf -- this will be professionally bound and
typically cost much less than the true costs in paper, ink and time of
doing it on your own printer.
